Salmon Rub

Tom’s first rub flavours “the best salmon in Seattle” at Etta’s restaurant, according to Northwest Palate Magazine. The rub is a combination of paprika, thyme, and brown sugar. It can also add sweet smoky flavor to pork or chicken.

Ingredients: Brown sugar, smoked paprika, flake salt, black pepper, and thyme.

Steak Rub

Deep intense flavours of chilies, garlic and rosemary make this rub a hearty complement to your juicy steak. Also, try it on chicken or roasted potatoes.

Ingredients: Brown sugar, flake salt, smoked paprika, ground ancho chili pepper, granulated garlic, ground chipotle chili pepper, cracked rosemary, black pepper, cumin.

Chicken Rub

From Tom Douglas' Seattle Kitchen straight to your door! Use this fragrant blend of comforting spices for roasting or barbecuing poultry or seafood.

Ingredients: Brown sugar, smoked paprika, flake salt, ground ancho chili pepper, black pepper, coriander, granulated garlic, turmeric, cinnamon, star anise.

About Woodsmoke Gourmet

Woodsmoke Gourmet was originally created in order to introduce Australians to the wonderful world of BBQ plank cooking!

Founder Scott was immediately hooked after discovering “BBQ Cedar Planked Salmon" on a trip to the Pacific North West region of USA and Canada. “I loved the natural simplicity of the preparation, and when I tasted the result I was blown away”.

Upon returning to Australia, he was disappointed to discover that BBQ grilling planks were relatively unknown. This disappointment though, was the motivating factor behind the development of Woodsmoke Gourmet.
