• 2 x Alder or Cedar Planks
  • 450 g whole green beans, trimmed
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ cup pecan halves
  • ½ cup blue cheese

  1. Pre-soak your grilling planks for at least 1 hour
  2. Preheat BBQ to medium-low, about 180°C.
  3. Bring a pot of water to simmer, add beans and pinch of salt and cook until crisp (3 - 4 minutes). Strain beans and run with ice cold water to cool down, drain well and pat dry.
  4. Toss beans with olive oil and pecans and season with kosher salt and pepper.
  5. Spread beans on soaked plank and sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Place on the BBQ with lid closed and cook for 10-12 minutes or until beans are tender and edges begin to brown.
  7. Remove planks from BBQ and toss beans with blue cheese.

Serve and Enjoy!
