INGREDIENTS

  • 500 gsm ground beef
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 1 Sweet Onion, cut into thick slices
  • Gherkins (optional)
  • ¼ cup of Frank’s Red Hot Wing Sauce or similar
  • 2 TB butter – melted
  • 4 Burger Rolls
  • ¼ cup Blue Cheese crumbles
  • Lettuce
  • Tomato - sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak cedar plank in water for 1 hour
  2. Preheat BBQ to medium-high (200° C)
  3. Gently form beef into 4 x 125g patties. Season with salt & pepper
  4. Place burger patties and sliced onion on soaked plank
  5. Place the Plank on BBQ and close the lid
  6. Mix hot wing sauce and melted butter – set aside
  7. Once the burger is cooked to your preferred temperature, remove from BBQ.
  8. Briefly grill the Burger rolls on the BBQ to heat
  9. Build your burger, drizzle with the hot wing butter and top with blue cheese
  10. crumbles.
