• 1 Woodsmoke Gourmet grilling plank - Hickory or Red Oak
  • 2, 120g Tenderloin Steaks or Filet Mignons
  • 2 pcs. Thick-Cut Bacon
  • 50g blue cheese of your choice
  • Sea Salt
  • Olive Oil
  • Fresh cracked black pepper
  • Toothpicks

  • Soak your Plank for 1-8 hours; the longer the better.
  • Season your steaks with salt and pepper and brush them with a little olive oil.
  • Sear the steaks in a frying pan or on the BBQ on high heat. Searing seals in the flavour and juices. Wrap the bacon around tenderloins, securing with toothpicks.
  • Preheat BBQ to Medium Heat (180°C). Place soaked planks with steaks on BBQ and close lid. Allow to smoke and smoulder for 9-10 minutes for medium-rare steaks.
  • When steaks are almost done to your liking, top with cheese. Remove from BBQ and cover with foil to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Uncover, serve with your choice of sides, a glass or two of your favourite Red and enjoy!
